Product information "Anti-phospho-n-Myc (Ser54)"
The n-Myc protooncogene is a member of the Myc family of transcription factors which includes c-Myc and L-Myc. Myc transcription factors are required for normal development and play a role in cell-cycle progression, transformation, cell size, and apoptosis. Myc factors heterodimerize with the transcription factor Max and activate transcription in response to MAPK/ERK signaling pathways that involve Wnt, Shh, and EGF. n-Myc amplification is observed in neuroblastoma and is a potent promoter of neural cell growth. Alternate names for n-Myc include nMyc, nMyc-1, n-Myc-1, Neuroblastoma Myc-related oncogene 1, Mycn.
