1 mg/ml in PBS with 50% glycerol, 1% BSA and 0.09% sodium azide. This antibody reacts to Histone H4 symmetric dimethylated at Arginine 3 (R3me2s). No cross reactivity with unmodified Arginine 3, monomethylated or asymmetric dimethylated Arginine 3, or other methylated Arginine in Histone H4. Protein function: Core component of nucleosome. Nucleosomes wrap and compact DNA into chromatin, limiting DNA accessibility to the cellular machineries which require DNA as a template. Histones thereby play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication and chromosomal stability.
