Anti-Pyk2

Pyk2 is a protein tyrosine kinase related to Focal Adhesion Kinase (p125 FAK). Pyk2 is highly expressed in the central nervous system. It is phosphorylated on tyrosine residues in response to various stimuli that elevate intracellular calcium concentration, as well as by protein kinase C activation. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml detected Pyk2 in mouse brain cytosolic RIPA lysates. Lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with P9400. Proteins were visualized using an IgG (HRP) goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody and a chemiluminescence detection system. Pyk2 has a MW of ~116kD as calculated from the amino acid sequence deduced from the complete human cDNA. , Immunoprecipitation: 4ug detected Pyk2 from 500ug of mouse brain cytosolic RIPA lysate., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Secondary Antibodies: I1904-39: IgG, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab Gt xRb , I1904-40A: IgG, H&L, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab Gt xRb , I1904-46Q: IgG, H&L (HRP) Pab Gt xRb, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
