Anti-PIAS1, CT E3 SUMO-protein Ligase PIAS1, Protein Inhibitor of Activated STAT Protein 1, Gu Bindi

PIAS1 functions as an E3-type small ubiquitin-like modifier (SUMO) ligase, stabilizing the interaction between UBE2I and the substrate, and as a SUMO-tethering factor. This protein plays a crucial role in transcriptional coregulation of various cellular pathways, including the STAT pathway, the p53 pathway and the steroid hormone signaling pathway. It functions in testis as a nuclear receptor transcriptional coregulator and may have a role in androgen receptor initiation and maintenance of spermatogenesis. The effects of transcriptional coregulation, transactivation or silencing, may vary depending upon the biological context. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000, Western Blot: 1:100-1:500, Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
