NF1 contains a GTPase-activating protein-related domain (GRD), and is involved in the negative regulation of Ras proteins, by accelerating the hydrolysis of active Ras-guanosine triphosphate. Mutations of NF1 have been reported in Neurofibromatosis type 1, which is characterized by a predisposition to a variety of tumors of the peripheral and central nervous systems as well as myeloid leukemia, cognitive deficits, bone deformations, and pigmentation defects. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
