Product information "Anti-B-RAF"
In 1X PBS, pH 7.4, with 0.09% sodium azide. BRAF is a human gene, with the protein more formally known as serine/threonine-protein kinase B-Raf. The protein is involved in sending signals inside cells, which are involved in directing cell growth. Drugs that treat cancers driven by BRAF mutations have been developed. Two of these drugs, Vemurafenib and Dabrafenib are approved by FDA for treatment of late-stage melanoma. [Wiki] Protein function: Protein kinase involved in the transduction of mitogenic signals from the cell membrane to the nucleus. May play a role in the postsynaptic responses of hippocampal neuron. Phosphorylates MAP2K1, and thereby contributes to the MAP kinase signal transduction pathway. [The UniProt Consortium]
