Gene Editing Enzymes & Reagents

Due to the convenience of its design and operation, the CRISPR Cas system has become the most widely used gene editing technology. KACTUS has successfully designed a highly active CRISPR Cas9 nuclease. Using their SAMS™ protein engineering platform, the Cas9 has undergone codon optimization, nuclear localization signal (NLS) design and optimization of E. coli expression and purification. To assist with detection of residual Cas9 nuclease in your drug product or ancillary materials, KACTUS has also developed a Cas9 ELISA kit for extra- or intracellular detection. Released June 2024.

MaxNuclease (GMP-Grade) for Nucleic Acid Degradation

KACTUS' MaxNuclease endonuclease identified from Serratia marcescens is genetically engineered and expressed in E. coli under cGMP manufacturing standards. It is a non-specific, highly active nuclease that degrades all forms of nucleic acids (single-/double-stranded, linear and circular nucleic acids). MaxNuclease is ideal for purification of viral vectors and viral vaccines, as well as for protein purification and other application where removal of contaminating nucleic acids is desired. KACTUS' also offers a MaxNuclease sandwich ELISA kit to detect the MaxNuclease residues in viral vectors and viral vaccines. Released June 2024.

DNA Amplification & Modification Enzymes

With our partner KACTUS, you get access to a number of different DNA amplification and modification enzymes. Discover the Phi29 DNA Polymerase, a highly processive polymerase with strong strand-displacement activity, high yields for large DNA fragments and accurate replication. Or benefit from the TelN Protelomerase that cleaves dsDNA and leaves covalently closed ends at its cleavage site. KACTUS also offers a T5 Exonuclease (linear or nicked dsDNA, 5' to 3' degradation) as well as an Exonuclease III (linear or nicked dsDNA with blunt ends or 5' overhangs, 3' to 5' degradation). Released June 2024.

ImmunoPro VLP SuperAntigens

Virus-like particles (VLPs) are non-infectious particles that mimic the structure of viruses but do not contain genetic material. They are often used in vaccine development and as a tool for antibody drug discovery. VLPs can be engineered to display specific antigens on their surface, making them useful for stimulating an immune response against particular antigens. Explore the portfolio of KACTUS' VLPs with different surface antigens. Released June 2024.

AAV Titration ELISA Kits

Empty AAV capsids lacking the transgene of interest cause unwanted immune response without providing the therapeutics benefit of the transgene. Alongside DNA and infectious titers, determination of the capsid titer is curcial for validating the efficacy and safety of your AAV gene therapy. KACTUS' titration kits detect full and empty AAV capsids specific to AAV2, AAV5, AAV8 or AAV9 serotypes. The kits have a high specificity and sensitivity, with a wide linear range and strong reproducibility. Released June 2024.

CD3 Recombinant Proteins

Discover highly active recombinant CD3 monomers and heterodimers from KACTUS. Cluster of Differentiation 3 (CD3) is a protein expressed on the surface of T cells consisting of 6 transmembrane peptide chains. KACTUS' CD3 proteins contain a proprietary design and purification system to ensure accurate expression of heterodimers and equal expression of subunits. The potency of CD3 heterodimers is assessed through rigorous experimentation using ELISA and SPR analysis. Released June 2024.

MHC Monomers & Tetramers

KACTUS offers high binding affinity MHC monomers and tetramers. The use of HEK293 mammalian expression systems for the MHC products ensures protein post-translational modifications including glycosylation and disulfide bond formation. KACTUS' proprietary design of MHC molecules reduces the chance of undesired displacement of peptides, allowing for more accurate and reliable detection of antigen-specific T cells and greater suitability for immunization. Choose from monomers, (fluorescent) tetramers, MHC-I virus like particles as well as peptide-ready and chimeric MHCs. Released June 2024.

Human Laminin 521 - Research-Grade & Preclinical-Grade

Laminin 521 is a matrix adhesion protein that is a natural component of the stem cell niche in vivo and is prominently expressed in embryonic and glomerular basement membranes. It is also involved in the regulation of important physiological processes such as cell adhesion, migration, differentiation, phenotype maintenance, and matrix-mediated signal transduction. Laminin 521 can be applied to the cultivation of stem cells and other primary cells and the development of related stem cell products. KACTUS has successfully developed a high-quality recombinant Laminin 521 that can be applied to scientific research (research-grade, KT-LMN-HM521-100UG) and preclinical development (preclinical-grade, KT-LMN-HM522-100UG). Released June 2024.
