ImmuneSelect Peptide Pools
The ImmuneSelect Peptide Pools by Virax Biolabs can be used to replace antigen stimulation in adaptive immunity studies, providing increased stability, less variation and enhanced reproducibility compared to antigens. In addition, peptide pools impress with lower costs and ease of use, since the peptides are simply dissolved in water, eliminating the risk of damage to the cells, and can go through freeze/thaw cycles with much less loss of activity. Updated April 2026.
Product Brief – Peptide Pools
Peptide pools consist of multiple synthesized epitopes derived from an antigenic protein, selected specifically for their ability to activate T cells. This targeted approach allows researchers to measure antigen-specific immune responses using techniques such as flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISpot, or imaging. Compared to whole antigens, peptide pools are more cost-effective for stimulating the same number of PBMCs, provide greater stability without lot-to-lot variability, and are easy to handle, as they can be dissolved in water and withstand freeze–thaw cycles with minimal loss of activity. Released April 2026.
ELISpot Assays for Analysis of Immune Responses
The ELISpot assays by Virax Biolabs can be used to monitor cellular immune responses at the single-cell level and reliably detect and measure human cytokine secretion by stimulated effector cells. The kits come with pre-coated plates to increase the ease of use for researchers. You can buy the kits with or without peptide pools for stimulation. However, using plates and peptide pools from the same company means no additional in-house validation is needed, accelerating your project. Updated April 2026.
Product Brief – ELISpot Assays
The ELISpot (Enzyme-Linked ImmunoSpot) assay is a powerful and highly sensitive technique used to detect and quantify specific secreted proteins, typically cytokines, at the single-cell level. The ELISpot assay is based on the principle that cytokines or other secreted proteins are captured on the surface of a well as they are secreted by activated immune cells. ELISpot evaluates immune responses to pathogens or treatments, supports clinical trials by monitoring immune responses or can be used to track tumour-specific T cells to assess the effectiveness of immunotherapies. Released April 2026.
