Product information "Anti-phospho-IRE1p, (Ser724) (Inositol-Requiring Protein 1, IRE1a, IRE1 alpha, Endoplasmic Re"
IRE1 acts as the sensor of unfolded proteins in the ER that initiates transmittance of the unfolded protein signal from the ER to the nucleus by splicing XBP1 mRNA converting it into a potent unfolded-protein response transcriptional activator. It is a transmembrane protein that has both serine-threonine kinase and endoribonuclease activities. Null mutants are viable, but IRE1 is essential for viability under stress conditions that cause unfolded proteins to accumulate in the ER. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:1000, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Glucose treated pancreatic islets and endogenous protein of pancreatic beta cells (20ug) and insuli, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
