XPA is involved in DNA excision repair. It initiates repair by binding to damaged sites with various affinities, depending on the photoproduct and the transcriptional state of the region. This protein is required for UV-induced CHK1 phosphorylation and the recruitment of CEP164 to cyclobutane pyrimidine dimers (CPD), sites of DNA damage after UV irradiation. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: FLISA: 1:1,000, Western Blot: 1:100-1:500, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Do not freeze APC conjugates. Light sensitive. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months.
