This product was Protein-A purified and cross-adsorbed against MBP from monospecific antiserum by chromatography. This antibody is specific for Borrelia burgdorferi VlsE protein. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest reactivity with VlsE from B. burgdorferi sources based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross-reactivity with VlsE from other sources has not been determined.

satisfying product
The VIsE antibody was successfully conjugated to gold nanoparticles for a lateral flow assay application. The product was also easily placed on nitrocellulose membrane. Although the vial was a little inconvenient and did not lend itself to micro-pipetting, it was possible to extract the protein out of the vial through multiple attempts. I have been working with Rockland Immunochemicals products for over a year and am satisfied with the quality of their products and technical/customer service.
