Product information "Anti-Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor 1, p55 (TNFR1, CD120a), clone 1.A.34"
The immunoregulatory cytokine tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFa) recognizes two cell surface receptors. TNF-R1 (also known as CD120a) has an apparent molecular mass of 55/60kD and is constitutively expressed on all nucleated cells, whereas TNF R2 (also known as CD120b) with an apparent molecular mass of 75/80kD, is restricted to hematopoietic cells. TNF-R2 directs TNFa mediated activation and proliferation of T lymphocytes. An autocrine role for TNF and TNF-R2 is implicated in hematopoietic malignancies, and the TNF-R2 locus is a translocation target in several leukemias, suggesting a role for TNF-R2 in the development of certain leukemias. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
