Anti-TEM8 (Tumor Endothelial Marker 8, Bacillus anthracis (Anthrax) Toxin Receptor, ATR1)

TEM8, also called ATR1, is a glycoprotein of the anthrax toxin receptor family that is expressed by endothelial cells. Type I transmembrane isoforms of 564aa (80-85kD) and 368aa (60kD) and potentially secreted isoforms of 330aa and 297aa (45kD) are differentially expressed. All diverge at the C-terminal end but share the N-terminal vWFA domain that binds the anthrax , toxin PA subunit as well as collagens I and IV. Human TEM8 shares 99% aa identity with mouse and rat and 92% identity with canine and chick TEM8 within the extracellular domain. , , Applications: , Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml, Western Blot: 1.0ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
