Product information "Anti-SNAP 25 (SNAP25, SP-12, Synaptosomal-Associated protein 25, SNAP-25, Synaptosomal-Associated 25"
Synaptosomal-associated protein 25 (SNAP-25) is a membrane bound protein anchored to the cytosolic face of membrane via palmitoyl side chains in the middle of the molecule (1). It is a component of the SNARE complex, which is proposed to account for the specificity of membrane fusion and to directly execute fusion by forming a tight complex that brings the synaptic vesicle and plasma membranes together (2). SNAP25 exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms, SMAP25A and SNAP25B. These isoforms are differentially expressed in neurons and neuroendocrine cells and they differ by 9aa in the central portion of the protein (3). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 1:1000, ELISA: 1:5000, Western Blot: 1:1000, Immunohistochemistry: 1:1000, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
