Product information "Anti-RAI3"
This gene encodes a member of the type 3 G protein-coupling receptor family, characterized by the signature 7-transmembrane domain motif. The encoded protein may be involved in interaction between retinoid acid and G protein signalling pathways. Retinoic acid plays a critical role in development, cellular growth, and differentiation. This gene may play a role in embryonic development and epithelial cell differentiation. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008], Protein function: Orphan receptor. Could be involved in modulating differentiation and maintaining homeostasis of epithelial cells. This retinoic acid-inducible GPCR provide evidence for a possible interaction between retinoid and G-protein signaling pathways. Functions as a negative modulator of EGFR signaling. May act as a lung tumor suppressor (PubMed:18000218). [The UniProt Consortium] Recommended dilutions: Western Blot: 1/500 - 1/2000. ELISA: 1/10000. Not yet tested in other applications.. Cellular localization: Cell membrane , Multi-pass membrane protein . Cytoplasmic vesicle membrane , Multi-pass membrane protein . Localized in perinuclear vesicles, probably Golgi-associated vesicles. .
