QKI belongs to a family of RNA-binding proteins that have an HNRNPK (MIM 600712) homology (KH) domain embedded in a 200-amino acid region called the GSG domain. Other members of this family include SAM68 (KHDRBS1, MIM 602489) and SF1 (MIM 601516) (Chen and Richard, 1998).[supplied by OMIM], Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:500-1:2000, Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-1:500, Immunoprecipitation: 2-10ug/mg, Western Blot: 1:5000-1:25000 detects a band at ~38kD., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
