Anti-Protein Kinase C Delta Binding Protein (PRKCDBP)

The protein encoded by this gene was identified as a binding protein of the protein kinase C, delta (PRKCD). The expression of this gene in cultured cell lines is strongly induced by serum starvation. The expression of this protein was found to be down-regulated in various cancer cell lines, suggesting the possible tumor suppressor function of this protein. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. , Recommended Dilutions: Peptide ELISA Titer: 1:21,000, Western Blot: 0.1-1ug/ml detects ~138kD band observed in Human Adipose and NIH3T3 lysates (calculated MW of 27.7kD according to Human NP_659477.2 and 27.8kD according to Mouse NP_082720.1 ). The observed molecular weight corresponds to earlier findings in literature with different antibodies (Bastiani M, J Cell Biol. 2009 Jun 29,185(7):1259-73. PMID: 19546242 )., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
