Anti-PREX1 (phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate- dependent Rac exchange factor 1)

The protein encoded by this gene acts as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor for the RHO family of small GTP-binding proteins (RACs). It has been shown to bind to and activate RAC1 by exchanging bound GDP for free GTP. The encoded protein, which is found mainly in the cytoplasm, is activated by phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate and the beta-gamma subunits of heterotrimeric G proteins. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. , Recommended Dilutions: Peptide ELISA Titer: 1:16,000, Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml detects ~150kD band observed in Human Brain (Temporal Cortex) lysates (calculated MW of 186kD according to NP_065871.2)., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
