Product information "Anti-PINK1, CT (PARK6, Serine/threonine-protein kinase PINK1, mitochondrial, BRPK, PTEN-induced puta"
Parkinson is the second most common neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimers. About 1 percent of people over the age of 65 and 3 percent of people over the age of 75 are affected by the disease. The mutation is the most common cause of Parkinson disease identified to date. Defects in PINK1 are the cause of autosomal recessive early-onset Parkinson's disease 6 (PARK6). Six novel pathogenic PINK1 mutations suggest that PINK1 may be the second most common causative gene next to parkin in parkinsonism with the recessive mode of inheritance. Strong evidence indicates that, although important in mendelian forms of Parkinson's disease (PD), PINK1 does not influence the cause of sporadic nonmendelian forms of PD. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap., , Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
