Protein function: Binds the poly(A) tail of mRNA. May be involved in cytoplasmic regulatory processes of mRNA metabolism. Can probably bind to cytoplasmic RNA sequences other than poly(A) in vivo. [The UniProt Consortium] Buffer: 40% glycerol and PBS (pH 7.2). 0.02% sodium azide is added as preservative. Highest antigen sequence identity to mouse: 96% and to rat: 95%
