Anti-p53 Upregulated Modulator of Apoptosis alpha, Bcl 2 Binding Component 3 (PUMA, bbc3)

PUMA, also known as bbc3, is a pro-apoptotic member of the BCL-2 family. PUMA is localized to the mitochondria, binds BCL-2 and induces cytochrome C release and apoptosis in response to p53. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applictions not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 2-4ug/ml. Detects a band at ~23kD in K562 cell lysates., Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 10ug/ml. Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended., Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher. Positive Control: Human breast carcinoma, Recommended Secondary Reagents: Sheep anti Rabbit IgG (HRP), , Storage and Stability:, May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
