Anti-p45 (SKP2), clone 3G225

The F-box protein p45SKP2 is the substrate-targeting subunit of the protein ligase SCFSKP2 and is frequently overexpressed in transformed cells. Expression of p45SKP2 in quiescent fibroblasts promotes p27Kip1 degradation, allows the generation of cyclin-A-dependent kinase activity, and allows entry into the S phase of the cell cycle. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 0.1-1ug/ml , Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml , Immunoprecipitation: 5ug, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: HeLa, Jurkat and 293T cell lines. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
