Anti-Orexin Prepro (Hypocretin Prepro)

Prepro-orexin is 130 amino acid long peptide with a putative 33 AA secretory sequence, a hydrophobic core followed by residues with small polar side chains. The expression was detected in brain and to a small extent in testis. These neuropeptides bind and activate two closely related Orexin receptors-G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) OX1R and OX2R.. Orexins (Orexin A and Orexin B) are a family of hypothalamic neuropeptides selectively expressed in the hypothalamus. Orexin A and Orexin B are derived from the same precursor (Prepro-orexin) by proteolytic cleavage. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Western Blot, though not tested, may potentially be used as an application. Other applications not tested. . Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:10,000-1:1000 using 50-100ng of control peptide/well., Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Control Peptide: O7502-10: Orexin Prepro, Control Peptide (Hypocretin Prepro), Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. ,
