Anti-Oncostatin M (OSM, Oncostatin M Precursor, MGC20461)

Oncostatin M is an important growth regulating cytokine that affects variably a number of tumor and normal cells. Oncostatin M exerts inhibitory effects on the growth of A375 melanoma and other cancer cells, but augments the growth of normal fibroblasts, AIDS-related Kaposi sarcoma cells, and other certain cells. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Neutralization. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml, Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml. Band at ~22kD, Neutralization: ND50=0.1-0.5ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human TF-1 cell line, Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
