Product information "Anti-NUP98 (ADIR2, Nuclear pore complex protein Nup98-Nup96 precursor, NUP196)"
NUP98 (nucleoporin 98kD) is a component of the nuclear pore complex. It is expressed as 3 different precursors which undergo auto-cleavage to generate a common amino-terminal 98kD peptide (NUP98) and carboxy-terminal 6, 96 (NUP96) and 88 (p88)kD peptides, respectively (1-2). NUP98 contains FG and GLFG repeat domains at its amino terminus and a RNA-binding domain in its carboxy terminus (3). The NUP98 gene is localized on chromosome 11p15.5, a region frequently rearranged in leukemias. To date, 15 fusion partners have been identified for NUP98 (4-5). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000, incubate membrane with diluted primary antibody in 5% BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween 20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight., Immunoprecipitation: 1:50, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
