0.5mg/ml if reconstituted with 0.2ml sterile DI water. Nucleolar protein 58 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NOP58 gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a core component of box C/D small nucleolar ribonucleoproteins. Some box C/D small nucleolar RNAs (snoRNAs), such as U3, U8, and U14, are dependent upon the encoded protein for their synthesis. This protein is SUMOylated, which is necessary for high affinity binding to snoRNAs. Protein function: Required for 60S ribosomal subunit biogenesis. Core component of box C/D small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein (snoRNP) particles. Required for the biogenesis of box C/D snoRNAs such as U3, U8 and U14 snoRNAs. Part of the small subunit (SSU) processome, first precursor of the small eukaryotic ribosomal subunit.
