0.5 mg/ml with 0.1 mg/ml BSA (US sourced), 0.05% sodium azide. NKIRAS1 is part of the Ras family and GTPase superfamily of proteins. Unlike other family members which have a glycine and glutamine residue at positions 13 and 65, NKIRAS1 (and 2) has leucines in these positions.NKIRAS1 is a regulator of NF-kB activity via its inhibition of IkB (NFKBIB) degradation. IkB complexes with NF-kB, preventing nuclear translocation and subsequent signaling. By preventing or reducing IkB degradation, NKIRAS1 blocks NF-kB signaling activity. Protein function: Atypical Ras-like protein that acts as a potent regulator of NF-kappa-B activity by preventing the degradation of NF-kappa-B inhibitor beta (NFKBIB) by most signals, explaining why NFKBIB is more resistant to degradation. May act by blocking phosphorylation of NFKBIB and mediating cytoplasmic retention of p65/RELA NF-kappa-B subunit. It is unclear whether it acts as a GTPase.
