Anti-Nitrotyrosine (nTyr)

Nitrotyrosine arises from the nitration of protein tyrosine residues, by reactive nitrogen species such as peroxynitrite and nitrogen dioxide, and can be used as a measure of NO-dependent oxidative stress and cell damage. Increased levels of nitrotyrosine are detectable in various pathological conditions including atherosclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, cardiovascular disease, lung cancer and vasculitis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 2-100ng/ml, Western Blot: 0.1ug/ml, Immunoprecipitation: 1ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Crossreactivity Data: Specificity as determined by ELISA competition experiments. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
