Anti-Neuron-Specific Enolase (NSE), type 2

Human NSE-2 (EC 4.2.1.11) is a 47.138 kD protein (434aa) expressed in neurons of the peripheral nervous system (PNS) and central nervous system (CNS). NSE-2 catalyzes the conversion of 2-phospho-D-glycerate into phosphoenol pyruvate, and is an essential enzyme in energy metabolism in nervous tissues. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. , Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: 1:2000-1:5000 using 2% paraformaldehyde tissues, Immunocytochemistry: 1:2000-1:5000 using 2% paraformaldehyde cells, Western Blot: 1:5000-1:10,000, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Secondary Antibodies: I1906: IgY, Chicken Pab Rb x Ch , I1906-10: IgY, Chicken (HRP) Rb x Ch , I1906-12: IgY, Chicken (FITC) Rb x Ch , I1906-14: IgY, Chicken (AP) Rb x Ch, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
