Mouse NPR-1 (natriuretic peptide receptor-1, also ANP-R1 or guanlyl cyclase-A) is a 130kD member of the guanylyl cyclase family of proteins. It is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein. That contains a 441aa extracellular domain (ECD) (aa29-469) and a 567aa cytoplasmic region. The cytoplasmic region shows a tyrosine kinase and guanylyl cyclase catalytic domain. NPR-1 operates as an oligomer and binds both ANP (atrial natriuretic peptide) and BNP (B-type natriuretic peptide). ANP binding induces bronchodilation and a reduction in blood pressure. over aa29-469, mouse NPR-1 is 97% and 86% aa identical to rat and human NPR-1, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in Direct ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: 8-25ug/ml detects Natriuretic Peptide Receptor A in perfusion fixed frozen mouse kidney tissue sections., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
