MMP3 is a Metallopeptidase M10A type protease. Human fibroblast stromelysin/MMP3 is a proteoglycanase with a wide range of substrate specificities. It is a secreted metalloprotease produced predominantly by connective tissue cells. MMP3 is capable of degrading proteoglycan, fibronectin, laminin, and type IV collagen. Expression has been documented in breast carcinoma, wound healing and chronic inflammatory diseases. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-4ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
