Anti-LASS5 Antibody was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography. Multiple isoforms of LASS5 are known to exist. This antibody is predicted not to cross-react with the highly homologous LASS6. Protein function: Dihydroceramide synthase. Catalyzes the acylation of sphingosine to form dihydroceramide, with high selectivity toward palmitoyl-CoA as acyl donor compared to stearoyl-CoA. Inhibited by fumonisin B1. [The UniProt Consortium]
