Anti-IRS-1 (Insulin Receptor Substrate 1)

Insulin Receptor Substrate 1 (IRS-1) is a cytoplasmic protein that participates in the insulin signaling pathway. It is phosphorylated by the Insulin receptor upon binding of Insulin and subsequently associates with several SH2-domain-containing proteins. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry, Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunocytochemistry: 10ug/ml, Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml, ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
