Anti-Interleukin-6 (IL-6), clone 6A425

Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is a multifunctional cytokine with a wide variety of biological functions. IL-6 is implicated in the final differentiation of B-cells into immunoglobulin-secreting cells, myeloma and plasmacytoma growth, nerve cell differentiation, and activation of hepatocytes and mitogen-stimulated helper T cells. Upon activation, IL-6 induces at least three major signaling pathways: JAK/STAT, PI-3 kinase and MAPK. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
