IL-6 is a cytokine with a wide variety of biological functions. It plays an essential role in the final differentiation of B-cells into Ig-secreting cells. It induces myeloma and plasmacytoma growth, nerve cells differentiation in hepatocytes, and acute phase reactants. , Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Intracellular staining, Western Blots, Neutralization and ELISA as a coating antibody. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Myeloma/Fusion: Rat spleen cells fused with P3X63-AG8.653 myeloma, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
