Anti-Interleukin 2 (IL-2, Interleukin-2, T-cell Growth Factor, TCGF, Aldesleukin)

Interleukin-2 is a potent immunoregulatory lymphokine produced by T-cells in response to antigenic or mitogenic stimulation. IL-2/IL-2R signaling is required for T-cell proliferation and other fundamental functions which are essential for the immune response. IL-2 stimulates growth and differentiation of B-cells, NK cells, lymphokine activated killer cells, monocytes, macrophages and oligodendrocytes. Human IL-2 is a 15.5kD protein containing 134 amino acid residues including one intrachain disulfide bond. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA (indirect): 2ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
