Anti-Interleukin-10 (IL-10), clone 5J45

Interleukin-10 (IL-10), originally known as Cytokine Synthesis Inhibitory Factor (CSIF), shares over 80% sequence homology with the Epstein-Barr Virus protein BCRFI. The reported biological activities of IL-10, which may be interrelated, include inhibition of macrophage-mediated cytokine synthesis, suppression of the delayed-type hypersensitivity response, and stimulation of the Th2 cell response which results in elevated antibody production. Human IL-10 is active on murine cells. Murine IL-10 is inactive on human cells. Recombinant human IL-10 is an 18.6kD protein with 161 amino acid residues. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA (Capture): 1-10ug/ml., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0 Ag14 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
