Product information "Anti-Integrin alphaV, beta3 (FITC), clone 2Q880"
The involvement of integrins in vascular proliferation, adhesion, and wound repair and have been well-documented. The integrin family of cell adhesion receptors consists of at least 16 membrane-associated heterodimers, composed of an alpha and beta subunit that associate in a non-covalent manner. The structure and functional diversity of the integrin family are based upon the pairing abilities of the individual alpha and beta subunits. Key to these molecular interactions between the integrin receptors and their respective ligands is the recognition of the Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) sequence, known to be present in the extracellular matrix components fibronectin, vitronectin, collagen, fibrinogen, and von Willebrand factor (3). Due to its involvement in angiogenesis, the integrin aVb3 receptor is one of the most intensely studied of the integrin receptors. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Immunofluorescence and Inhibition of adhesion. Not suitable for Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Other applications have not been tested., , Recommended Dilutions:, Inhibition of adhesion of cells to vitronectin coated surfaces: 10-25ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. , Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
