Anti-Insulin-Like Growth Factor-1 Receptor alpha (IGF1Ra), clone 3F218

IGF-1R (Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 Receptor) consists of a- and b-subunits, which are disulfide-linked in a b-a-a-b configuration in the mature receptor. The a-subunit is completely extracellular, while the b-subunit spans the membrane and the intracellular portion has intrinsic tyrosine kinase activity. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, acts as a weak IGF-like Agonist in Bioassays and inhibits IGF-1 Binding. Not suitable for Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Bioassays: Thymidine incorporation into DNA , Immunoprecipitation: 2ug/mg protein lysate. Use Protein A., IGF-1 Binding: 1.5ug/ml Substantial (>80%) inhibition , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Placenta or breast carcinoma , Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
