Product information "Anti-Indoleamine 2,3-Dioxygenase (IDO, Indoleamine-pyrrole 2,3-dioxygenase)"
Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) is an enzyme that is responsible for converting tryptophan to kynurenines. IDO is expressed by a wide variety of tissues and IDO can be upregulated by interferon gamma. IDO modulates levels of the amino acid tryptophan, which is vital for cell growth, but is also involved in the suppression of the immune response. IDO may be involved in the suppression of the immune response to tumors and blocking the IDO pathway may be a potential target for immunotherapy. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:500 detects IDO on 10ug of untreated and IFN gamma treated Hela lysates. Untreated and IFN-gamma 24-hour-treated Hela lysates were resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to membrane and probed with I7545-01. Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse IgG labeled with HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human IFN-gamma stimulated HeLa cell lysates, , IFN-gamma stimulated human peripheral blood lymphocytes, Recommended secondary antibodies: I1904-06C: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo, I1904-06H IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
