hGH is produced by the somatotroph cells in the pituitary. hGH acts through binding to membrane receptors that belong to the cytokine receptor superfamily. Ligand binding induces receptor dimerization and activation of the receptorassociated kinase: JAK2, this results in phosphorylation of the kinase itself, of the receptor, and of many cellular proteins including the Stat proteins as well as adaptors leading to the activation of the Ras/MAP kinase pathway and of the PI-3 kinase pathway. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Pair: Capture: G9000-15G, Detection: G9000-15H, Hybridoma: X63-Ag8-653 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
