This gene belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. G protein-coupled receptors contain 7 transmembrane domains and transduce extracellular signals through heterotrimeric G proteins. The protein encoded by this gene is most closely related to biogenic amine receptors. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008], Protein function: Orphan G-protein coupled receptor. Constitutively activates the G(s)-alpha/cAMP signaling pathway (PubMed:28827538). Shows a reciprocal regulatory interaction with the melatonin receptor MTNR1B most likely through receptor heteromerization (PubMed:28827538). May be involved in the regulation of food intake and body weight. [The UniProt Consortium] Recommended dilutions: WB 1:500-2000 ELISA 1:5000-20000.
