Protein function: E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase which accepts ubiquitin from an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme in the form of a thioester and then directly transfers the ubiquitin to targeted substrates. Essential in early embryonic development to prevent apoptotic death. [The UniProt Consortium] Recommended dilutions: WB 1:1000-2000. Cellular localization: Nucleus, nucleolus . Cytoplasm . Shuttles between the nucleus and the cytoplasm. In the nucleus, delocalizes from the nucleolus to the nucleoplasm in response to DNA damage. .
