Anti-G Protein Coupled Bile Acid Receptor 1 (GPBAR1, M-BAR, BG37, TGR-5)

G protein coupled bile acid receptor 1 (GPBAR1), also called M-BAR, BG37 or TGR-5, is a G-protein coupled receptor superfamily member that is a widely expressed cell surface receptor for bile acids. On macrophages, bile acid engagement of GPBAR-1 suppresses phagocytosis and other functions. Extracellular portions of human GPBAR-1 show ~75% amino acid identity with corresponding regions of mouse GPBAR-1. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 2.5x10e6 cells , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: THP-1 cells, Hybridoma: Mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with NS0 cells transfected with human GPBAR1 (Accession #Q8TDU6). Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
