Anti-Elk-1, phosphorylated (Ser383)

Elk-1, a 62kD transcription factor, is the most abundant component of ternary complex factors that is regulated by phosphorylation and in turn regulates gene expression in response to multiple stimuli. Elk-1 is a substrate of MAP kinase and phosphorylated by ERK2 on several sites in the carboxyl terminus, including serine 383. Phosphorylation of Elk-1 on serine 383 is critical for its transcriptional activity, including Elk-1-mediated transcription of c-Fos. Dephosphorylation of serine 383 by calcineurin downregulates Elk-1 transcriptional activity. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA.
