Product information "Anti-EIF4EBP2 (Eukaryotic Translation Initiation Factor 4E-binding Protein 2, 4E-BP2, eIF4E-binding"
This protein regulates eIF4E activity by preventing its assembly into the eIF4F complex. Mediates the regulation of protein translation by hormones, growth factors and other stimuli that signal through the MAP kinase pathway. Nonphosphorylated EIF4EBP2 interacts with EIF4E. Phosphorylated on serine and threonine residues in response to insulin, EGF and PDGF. Belongs to the eIF4E binding protein family. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 4ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 10ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
