Product information "Anti-DDX23, ID (DDX23, Probable ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX23, 100kD U5 snRNP-specific protein, D"
DDX23 encodes a member of the DEAD box protein family. DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure, such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of this family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. The protein is a component of the U5 snRNP complex, it may facilitate conformational changes in the spliceosome during nuclear pre-mRNA splicing. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry, FLISA, Recommended Dilution: FLISA: 1:1,000, Western Blot: 1:100-500, Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-100, Flow Cytometry: 1:10-50, Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. , , Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
