Product information "Anti-Cyclin D1 (PRAD-1, bcl-1), clone 3G112"
Cyclin D1 is a 36kD nuclear protein. The cell cycle in eukaryotic cells is mediated by the formation, activation, and deactivation of complexes containing Cyclin-Dependent Kinases (CDK) and cyclins. D-type cyclins usually associate with CDK4 (p34 PSK-J3). Complexes with CDK2 and CDK5 have also been reported (1). D-type cyclins are necessary for cells to achieve the G1 to S transition in the cell cycle (2). The D-type cyclins have been shown to associate with PCNA, the retinoblastoma gene product, p21, and other proteins. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.1-1.0ug/ml , Western Blot: 0.3-1.0ug/ml , Immunoprecipitation: 5ug , Immunohistochemistry: 2-10ug/ml. Formalin-fixed paraffin embedded sections require a Heat Induced epitope Retrieval (HIER) step prior to staining. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. , Source: Ascites, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
