Product information "Anti-CXCR6"
0.5mg/ml if reconstituted with 0.2ml sterile DI water. Chemokine, CXC Motif, Receptor 6, also known as STRL33 and Bonzo, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CXCR6 gene. By Southern blot analysis of genomic DNA and somatic cell hybrid analysis, Liao et al.(1997) mapped the single-copy gene to chromosome 3. Matloubian et al.(2000) found that human and mouse cells expressing the protein showed a strong chemotactic response to CXCL16 but not to other chemokines. The authors concluded that CXCL16 and CXCR6 probably function in interactions between dendritic cells and T cells and in regulating T-cell migration in the splenic red pulp. Kim et al.(2001) concluded that the proteinb may be important in the trafficking of effector T cells mediating type-1 inflammation. Protein function: Receptor for the C-X-C chemokine CXCL16.
