Product information "Anti-CLPP (Putative ATP-dependent Clp Protease Proteolytic Subunit, Mitochondrial, Endopeptidase Clp"
CLPP is a conserved prokaryotic and eukaryotic ATP-dependent Serine S14 protease that hydrolyzes misfolded proteins into small peptides in the presence of ATP and magnesium. CLPP of Bacillus subtilis is induced by heat shock or general stress conditions. It plays an essential role in stress survival and growth at high temperature. CLPP is transported into mitochondrial matrix and is associated with the inner mitochondrial membrane. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:64,000, Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml, observed in human heart and skeletal muscle lysates on ~27-30kD bands, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 2-4ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
